I rather like seeing guys shirtless, but I have to agree with you about the Joker. Eeuuww.
As for Alan, I can only assume that Superman, Batman and the Flash are all STANDING on his back, and frankly, he's getting fed up.
Personally, I think GL is just really really nonplussed about those two Rube Goldbergian guys hovering about his shoulders. And what is that other thing on the right? It looks like a cross between Charlie McCarthy and... well, Satan, basically.
It looks like Mutt and Jeff are very perturbed about whare Grenn Lantern is focusing his attention. And I think that other goober is a very bad drawing of Brooklyn from the Boy Commandos.
